Continuing our theme of half assing it, I’m here to update you on a few more games! Of course I’m no where near caught up, but maybe tomorrow! Right?! Yeah, you betcha. In any event, there is definately a clear winner in todays update — here’s a hint, it’s the one with manfur. All game descriptions have been carefully constructed by the games’ respective developers, our quality control free commentary is in bold.

It’s time to grab stuff! Use your crane to collect plushys in this physics based game! Cuddly cute characters are just waiting to meet you! 30 Levels of grabby grabby fun fun!
Developer: Kaos nyrb Price: 80 Microsoft Points Okay, it gets bonus points for having an amuzing concept, which is that you basically play the classically rigged “The Claw” game to grab plushies and toss them in the bin. Too bad a concept like that really requires some solid physics, the likes of which are obviously missing from the game. You can be in the middle of moving, drop your claw and it will just shoot off in the direct ion the claw was oriented in completely ignoring gravity. |

Battleships? Phaw! Instead of trying to sink your opponent’s ships, try to squish his or her worms? A fun twist on this classic board game. Squish all the worms in your opponent’s garden before he can squish all of yours. Happy stomping!
Developer: fr0man Price: 80 Microsoft Points Yep, it’s battleship alright. It’s battleship with worms, no less. So it looks as though it is exactly as it says it is, BattleWorms. I’m still waiting for the tequila tie in actually. |

Developer: Distorted Kids Price: 80 Microsoft Points I know Newton Vs. the Horde won the Old Spice Dream Build Play, but this one won my heart. My hairy chest covered heart that is. You’re a rather posh gentlemen who has inadvertently had a bit of magical hair with his spot of tea and has been transformed into Gentlemacho..yadayadayada…what’s important here is this: You have a freaking top hat, monocle, stache, and super powered manfur. Yeah, go ahead and download that demo. |

Grab some friends and jump into this hybrid dual-stick shooter/tower defense game. Defend your families’ underground home from waves of flesh-eating lizards. You’re outnumbered badly, but some well placed defenses and a steady aim may get you through the night. Unique fusion of action and strategy. 40 rounds, 3 nights, 8 power-ups, 3 upgradeable turret types, endless strategies. HamStudios.com
Developer: Ham Studios Price: 80 Microsoft Points Pretty decent mashup of a tower defense and a twin stick shooter. I don’t really have much else to add to that, if you like either of those you should probably check it out. |
John Cleese To Voice Butler In Fable 3: Silly Walk still unconfirmed.
March 11th, 2010 | by GeoffS
Looks like being King just got a little more fun as John Cleese will be lending his voice to the butler of Fable III. This news comes out of this mornings GDC presentation by Lionhead Studios’ Peter Molyneux and Josh Atkins. Mr Peter Molyneux also spent a little talk lamenting about how half of the people who played Fable II used less than half of its mechanics and systems, which is really a very Molyneux thing to do. In any event, you can learn more about the presentation over at Kotaku. As for me, I’ll be busy rummaging through my friends couches for pre-order money.
Miku has been featured before as a daily fig and as a music video idol, but never before has she been featured as the leek waving tycoon of Monopoly. As mentioned elsewhere Hatsuna Miku is a Vocaloid character used for the marketing of the popular singing synthesizer software developed by Yamaha. This shot and lots more can be found over at figure.fm.

If you don’t already know Who this is you are hopeless. This excellent Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor figure comes with perhaps the creepiest face I have ever seen, but it still gets it’s day here on 2F. Check out that hat and scarf of ultimate badasserry.
Hey, check it out! A fig that “almost” doesn’t make us look like we have social problems. This rather dashing chap is Professor Layton, a character from the Nintendo DS puzzle game series. This classy gent found its way to us via tomopop so be sure to take a look at what else is going on over there.
