Indie Royale double dog dares you and the Humble Bundle is back…again
Seems like this is becoming a routine set of posts. It may come to the point where we relegate these types of posts to a category all their own. The reality is however that they keep taking money off my poor ass. This time I don’t even know what I bought as the Indie Royale is daring its fans to pre-order the next bundle sight unseen. Yup, it worked!
Meanwhile the Humble Bundle is just going about business as usual with its Introversion bundle featuring a whole damn pile of Introversion games: Uplink, Darwinia, Multiwinia, and DEFCON. Oh and tossed in for good measure are Aquaria, Crayon Physics, and a couple tech demos.
Review: Red Tie Miner
Gaming and mining have gone together for a long time now, but as you’ve no doubt noticed the theme as a whole has been on the upswing as of late. Square dirt is just in vogue. But there is more than one way to approach a block of dirt, Maximinus turns Miner Dig Deep on its head and puts you to work escaping from the depths (rather than creating them) of their new game Red Tie Miner. 6 things you’d rather not be in Skyrim
We don’t typically review triple-A games, mainly because that scene is quite the crowded one. But I’m not going to let that keep me from leveraging abusrd amounts of time I spend in one! So here we go with a wholly not comprehensive list of things you’d rather not be in the land of Skyrim. Keep reading
The pianoing of Isaac, for a somber Saturday morn
I don’t know about you, but I can barely get my two thumbs to do different things at once for purposes of game playing, let alone my entire hands for something like turning the music from The Binding of Isaac into awesome piano arrangements.
YouTube user Scamper205 can do it, though, and do it exceedingly well. Check out his version of the Danny B. composed “Repentant” below, and find more of Scamper’s handiwork on his YouTube Channel or on Twitter @TheScamper.
Indie interviews galore thanks to The Last and Final Word
I know I love reading interviews of indie game devs. They have interesting ways of doing things and looking at the world. Steve Cook thinks they’re really interesting too, and recently wrapped up an initial round of a series of interviews of the likes of Adam Saltsman, Cactus, Ted Lauterbach, Paul Hubans, and many many more.

IGSU title ‘Speedrunner HD’ gets an update
Remember that summer uprising thing? It seems so long ago now! I guess in terms of the games industry it has been a pretty long time. Well as you may or may not recall, our own Brooks Bishop reviewed the game Speedrunner HD and gave it a reasonably favorable once over. Well the developer DoubleDutch Games has been hard at work since then to bring the speed-centric platformer new content and a little more polish. Hit the jump for all the nitty-gritty. Keep reading
Sideway, Waves, and Rochard now available on the Steam
Oh it’s that time of year again. You know the one, where every game company thinks the game they’ve created is the one worthy of being in gamer’s digital stocking. I don’t know why they don’t understand that we gamers like to celebrate games year round. So here we go squishing three games into one post and it has nothing to do with the fact I’ve been playing Skyrim non-stop for four days. Keep reading
5 awesome arranged Touhou tracks to start your week
For me, today just seems like one of those days where I throw on a playlist of remixes and covers and arrangements of Touhou Project music and try to get some work done. I figured I would share, so here are a few of my favorites, including artists, and origins. Enjoy.
