I recently was given a Colibri Enterprise triple flame cigar lighter for my birthday and have been wanting to do a guest blogger post for the Two Fed guys for a while, so I wrote up this review of the lighter.

Initial impressions:

The lighter is nicely finished in a satin black finish with dark gray polished metal accents. It has noticeable heft even when not filled. I picked the thing up after getting it out of the package and thought, now this is a lighter.

Build Quality:

As you would expect for a lighter in this price range, the build is superb. The lighting action is smooth and works flawlessly just about every time.

Design:

The three flames are arranged in a triangle which allows them to put out a copious amount of flame over a much larger area than a single flame torch. It has a single action that smoothly opens the top cover and ignites the flames. It also has an integrated cigar punch on the bottom, so you could conceivably just carry the lighter and a cigar with you on a camping trip or out on the golf course, but ideally a separate guillotine cutter should be used.

It has a fairly big tank and a nice display window that shows you how much fuel is left in the lighter. Although, as you can imagine, it uses a lot of fuel whenever you light a cigar.

Only slight annoyance with the design is that you need a small screwdriver to turn up or down the flame strength control, which means you need a small screwdriver every time you go to fill the lighter as the control needs to be turned to the lowest setting when filling.

Performance:

While it might take a single jet lighter about 30 seconds to properly roast and then light a cigar, this lighter does it in under 15 seconds. It is definitely the bomb to use when lighting a cigar as it allows me to roast the cigar and then get it lit with a great amount of confidence and control.

Overall thoughts:

The Colibri Enterprise triple flame cigar lighter is the real deal. It is very well made and looks, feels and works appropriate to the cost. If you smoke cigars and don’t mind dropping a good amount of coin on a lighter, I highly recommend it.
