They said it couldn’t be done. They said I’d never catch up on XBLIG releases. They said, orange sherbet and chocolate ice cream go amazingly well together. Well I’m here to tell you they were completely right about the ice cream. In any event, we’ve finally caught up on releases! Well, that is until they mysteriously drop 20 games this afternoon, but until then we are sitting pretty. All game descriptions are those of the games’ respective developers, our commentary will be in bold.
ゆっくりの迷宮 |
|
![]() |
Defeat enemies while exploring the 3D dungeon action game goal is to rescue girls trapped. Will have a little fun with a lot of online friends.
Developer: HOSSIE Price: 80 Microsoft Points The game is all in japanese, but that doesn’t really prevent you from playing it. It plays like a First Person Melee, which is to say you punch things in the face. |
Kapture |
|
![]() |
Enroll as an agent to capture the one who has plagued our nation. Intensive training, aerial combats, ground battles and a car chase for a plethora of medals, glory and recognition in this action adventure. Find it tough? Enroll an accomplice and play as a team! Aim for 20 medals and 5 stars and build up an impressive profile.
Developer: CandelaCreations Price: 80 Microsoft Points As the description states, there are numerous modes of play bundled into this little game. You can play a sort of side scrolling shooter, twin stick shooter, and a driving game in Kapture. None of them feel all that great though, the controls kind of feel like mashed potatoes. |
Avatar Dash |
|
| Dash your way across Beaches and Mountains as you attempt to maximize your high score! Features two level themes, two player splitscreen, and online highscores.
Developer: MatthewM Price: 80 Microsoft Points Canabalt, I don’t think I really need to say anything more then that. It isn’t the first avatar canabalt style perpetual motion platformer that we’ve seen, but it is probably the better of the bunch. The environments look pretty good and despite being based on avatars isn’t entirely annoying. |
|
Pushy |
|

Take your avatar on a journey and test your logic as you solve 70+ puzzles! Play with a friend and compete for best times and scores or work together to solve the puzzles! Share your skills with the world by getting a spot on the global scoreboard! (Supports Stereoscopic 3D viewing with no glasses via the ‘Crossview’ method)
Developer: Aztec Price: 240 Microsoft Points Decent puzzle game using Avatars. The perspective is a little annoying as it makes the 3D environments a little challenging to navigate. I guess if you’re looking for a puzzle game this may not be too bad to look into. |
Attack of the Verbose Dinosaur |
|
![]() |
It’s the attack of the 50ft verbose dinosaur! Help the dinosaur on his quest to avenge the misuse of language! Form words and then explode them to damage buildings! Use power-ups to increase your destructive power!
Developer: AlMra Price: 80 Microsoft Points It’s a word puzzle game with dinosaurs destroying cities. Seriously, do I even need to talk about it? It’s so self evidently awesome in concept alone that you have ample reason to demo it. |
