So just to clarify, I’m the one half assing it today. I kind of neglected the queue that was building yesterday and now have a back log of nine games to check out and insult. Fortunately, and well unfortunately, since no one actually pays me to do this, I can just randomly half do everything — so I am. I’ll probably get around to the other half of the ass tomorrow, but today is what I’ll just go ahead and call a one-cheeker. The descriptions of the following games are the handy work of the games respective developers, our commentary will be in bold.
Avatar Surfing Challenge |
|
| 3D Surfing Action! Take your Avatar out onto the waves, win The Cup and be the Raddist Avatar on the Planet
Developer: idle han Price: 80 Microsoft Points It’s pretty simplistic, surf through the barrels collect the bits and don’t wipe out. It’s an avatar game so I have immediate distaste for it, but as far as avatar games go this one pretty okay. |

Ambient Water |
|

Do you love water? Do you need it to live? Yaystuff quenches your thirst…to relax. When you’re done putting the pedal to the metal, saving the world and blowing stuff up – load up Ambient Water. Relax and recharge. Maybe even take a nap. Come back fresh and frosty.
Developer: yaystuff Price: 80 Microsoft Points too much. It’ doesn’t even belong in “Indie Games” because it isn’t a damn game. It puts up some crap stock photo with some run of the mill white noise all for the sake of turning your $300 200 watt noisy ass Xbox 360 into the worlds dumbest sound machine. |
Fumbo |
|
![]() |
Fumbo is an African themed puzzle game designed to be casual yet mentally challenging. Fumbo does away with the overused bubble bursting, board clearing, time limited scenarios of the puzzle genre and replaces it with a puzzle that is challenging but allows the player to solve it at a comfortable, relaxed pace.
Developer: PhudgBoy Price: 80 Microsoft Points Puzzle game beyond my comprehension. I understand the premise, you simply match the animal haves to make animal wholes. I just didn’t really “get” the movement mechanisms. It does have a pleasing visual aesthetics and nice African sounding music. |
Moon Taxi |
|
![]() |
Pilot your way through this unique collection of performed short stories. You drive a Moon Taxi and every passenger has a story to tell. Collect dust and words to unlock the next fare and the next tale. Stories were drawn from public submissions at moontaxi.org.
Developer: Popcannibal Price: 240 Microsoft Points This is a strange one, the game is largely secondary to the stories. The stories themselves are narrated as you dodge a few asteroids and collect moon dust by smashing through words floating in space. I’d highly recommend checking out the demo and seeing what it’s all about, because weird things should be experienced. |
AvatarFever: Capture the Spice |
|
| A fresh new capture the flag game, featuring multiplayer gameplay and online high scores. Compete online with your avatar and try to beat other players to be the freshest player over the world.
Developer: Ninja Fever Price: 80 Microsoft Points This game requires more then one person to play, so I didn’t have a chance to try it out. I’m almost positive I’d have something mean and nasty to say about it though. |
