Talk about a deluge of games. Last week was looking pretty slow until Friday afternoon rolled around and dropped a whole bunch of new titles. One of the new games managed to elicit the “WTF” response, in a good way, and you’ll know it when you see it. The rules of the XBLIG Update are still in effect with game descriptions being that of the respective developers, our comments will be bold and occasionally cuddly.

LaserBreaker is a fun game in which you have to destroy a target employing laser shots of four different colours. In each stage the target is protected by some blocks, which only can be destroyed by laser of its own colour.
Developer: SoulCode Games Price: 400 Microsoft Points Interesting interpretation of the block breaker. Doesn’t seem to be anything revolutionary but does a nice job as a diversion from things you should be doing. 400 Points though? Really? Not seeing it. |

It’s important to note I’m an anime fan and as such was ridiculously amused by the games aesthetics, which is probably a considerable part of its charm. Not sure why they didn’t go with a twin-stick and trigger combination for the game, but whatever, go play the demo! |
