Cave Story Now Available on WiiWare

The much anticipated WiiWare exclusive Cave Story has finally been released. The beautiful 2d side scrolling action adventure features tons of new content and artwork over its original 2004 PC release. But don’t fret, fans of the orginal, Daisuke Amaya(Pixel) has been very involved in the update contributing updated artwork to all of the major characters and more.

Cave Story is available exclusively on Nintendo WiiWare for 1200 “Wii” Points which is ((2499/2000)*1200) apparently $15. Unless of course, you purchased your Wii Points from Amazon for 20% off.

    I played the original and loved it, but I never found a good enough reason to get a Wii. They really need to port this one to the PSN, or at least to XBLA.

    Totally agree with you. I much prefer playing things on my 360 and PS3, but I may make an exception for this game.

    Is that video bugging out for anyone else, or is it just Chrome? Seems to load okay in IE(*shivers*)
